Brooks Transcend 6 Shoe Review

If you enjoy super soft cushioning and need a strong stability shoe then this review is for you. Today, we will be reviewing the Brooks Transcend 6, the newest stability shoe from Brooks Running. From the successful previous version Transcend (5) to now the Transcend 6, Brooks has changed the shoe around substantially. All the previous versions of this shoe did not feature GuideRails nor the same amount of cushioning the Transcend 6 has. Adding cushioning gives the runners a shoe that is very soft and comfortable for longer runs, however that still has a nice responsive feel when you pick up the pace. Another noticeable change in the Transcend 6 is the added width/space in the mid-foot compared to the Transcend 5. A lot of runners complained on how the Transcend 5 ran tight in some areas. Brooks changing the upper to more seamless allows the foot to run to its natural shape while wearing the shoe. Although, if there’s one thing we’ve found with this new model is that some areas of the shoe still quite narrow, especially in the front toe-box. We also found that the raised drop (from 8 to 10mm) really slides your foot forward on your longer runs.
